If you are a Haitian who entered the United States by December 31, 1995 for adjustment of status (permanent residence) if you:
- were paroled into the U.S. by U.S. authorities for emergent reasons or for reasons deemed strictly in the public interest; or
- had applied for asylum prior to December 31, 1995; or;
- were orphaned, abandoned, or unaccompanied minor children at the time of entry; or
- were paroled into the United States because U.S. authorities
determined you had a credible fear of persecution
Your spouse and minor children may also adjust under these relief provisions.
